The Privacy Bill of Rights


1. Information about me belongs to me. I have the right to reveal or hide that information.

2. If I decide to reveal information about myself, I must have the option of verifying it and changing it in case of error.

3. I should be able to revoke the the use of my information if it is used in a way that I do not see fit.

4. When collecting information, others must tell me what information they are collecting and for what purpose. The information must not be used for any other purpose.

5. My information has value. I should be compensated monetarily or with better service when my information is used.
